You will want to contact your insurance claims department.
What form of payment does Delta Decon accept?
We accept four major credit cards - Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Amex, as well as cash prior to beginning the cleanup process. However, we will assist in obtaining reimbursement from insurance carriers.
How long will cleanup take and what will it cost?
Every incident is unique. Delta Decon will provide a written estimate for time and materials upon examination of the scene.
Why do I need Delta Decon?
Our technicians have been trained and certified in the proper removal and legal disposal of potentially infectious waste. Often times, blood and body fluids collect beneath surfaces and are not visible to the naked eye. We will find and decontaminate all areas exposed to bloodborne pathogens and infectious materials.
Why is decontamination so important?
Some bloodborne pathogens can survive outside the human body for long periods of time.
For example:
- The AIDS virus (HIV) - up to 48 hours
- Hepatitis B - 2 to 8 weeks
Decontamination is important to protect yourself, your family, friends, employees or clients by destroying these viruses.
Are your cleaning products safe for humans, pets and the environment?
Yes, the EPA has rated our cleaning products environmentally safe.
I own a business, why shouldn’t I just have an employee clean a trauma scene?
OSHA regulation 29CFR1910.1030 states: “no employee can be placed in a position to be exposed to biohazardous waste without first receiving bloodborne pathogen (BBP) training.” Also, the business must have a written BBP Exposure Control Plan. Not complying with OSHA will result in severe fines and citations.
Can any cleaning service perform a trauma scene cleanup?
No, Delta Decon is a “specialty” cleaning service. Our technicians have received professional training in removal and decontamination of potentially infectious waste material. In addition, we contract with an infectious waste disposal service in order to be legally compliant with federal and state regulations
